Detective Wilson began his career in law enforcement in 2005,
when he began working at the Towns County Detention Center.
Detective Wilson was promoted to a sergeant's position where he
had the responsibility of supervising detention personnel and
overseeing day-to-day operations of the detention center. Det.
Wilson was also assigned to supervising the Inmate Work Detail
Program.
In late 2005, Det. Wilson began work as a deputy sheriff, shortly
after receiving a Police K9 named Rocky. Det. Wilson and Rocky
became certified to detect narcotics as a team in March 2006 and a
tracking certification in April 2008. In June 2008, Deputy Wilson
and Rocky were attached to CID, where Wilson is currently
assigned as a detective. Det. Wilson and Rocky investigate drug
cases and domestic violence crimes.
