Towns County
Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Chris Clinton
K9
Sheriff Clinton is pleased with Rocky
and his handler, Deputy Brian Wilson.
Deputies Wilson and Marshall and K9,
Rocky, seized a quarter pound of
marijuana late December 29, 2007,
resulting in a felony arrest. Charges
include possession with intent to
distribute marijuana and felony
possession of marijuana.
Deputy Wilson and Rocky, K9,
await another cell to search. On
December 2o, 2007, Sheriff Clinton
ordered a shakedown of the detention
center. Makeshift weapons and
prescription pills were among items
confiscated from inmate cells.
K9 handler, Deputy Brian Wilson, and K9, Rocky, are currently
assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. Sheriff Clinton
felt that Deputy Wilson and Rocky are most beneficial in an
investigative capacity, considering the amount of drugs being
confiscated in Towns County. Deputy Wilson and Rocky have
also received nationally recognized tracking certification. This
certification is beneficial for the purpose of tracking suspected
criminals, as well as lost or missing persons.
